You're the gin to my tonic
It's St. Patricks Day, 2018, and we're sipping rose, living our best pre-COVID lives at an event in the CBD.
"I knew only of Danielle from social media and was introduced to her lining up for a drink. I didn't want to give off eager vibes so I let her simmer for the rest of the night, eventually finding her again on the D-Floor. After alphadogging the bloke chatting her up, I invited her for a drink back at the bar. We exchanged numbers that night and went on our first date a few days later. From that day, I don't think we've gone a day without seeing or talking to each other."

"Apply great kicks, a sharp suit jacket and a sprinkle of blue eyes, and you've got me. Enter stage left, Mr Lee. Much to my embarrassment, shortly after discretely pointing Brendan out to a friend, I was face to face with my blue eyed, future husband to be in a very shy and awkward exchange of words. In true Brendan style he oozed arrogance, whilst casually declining my offer for a dance. Fast forward 4 years and he's my favourite dancefloor partner of all time."

The next 4 years would bring the perfect balance in what we both looked for in a partner - a best friend, banter, travel, quality time, independence, encouragement, endearment, all surrounded by supportive family and amazing friendships.
"Almost exactly 3 years later, I got down on 1 knee and proposed in front of our closest friends and family at Elizabeth Quay. Do you know what's more nerve racking than proposing...? Carrying around a diamond ring for 3 hours in your jacket pocket and praying you don't lose it!"

"This isn't the beginning of something great, rather the next chapter to my all time favourite novel. Never have I felt more at peace in who I am, what I am worth, and in what I want to bring to a relationship. Despite the whirlwind of emotion when I saw Brendan on one knee, everything just felt right."
- Dani
We can only hope that our future holds as much laughter, love and growth as our past 4 years.
