FAQ's
With all our guests having to travel interstate or internationally, we understand you may have a few questions. Our aim is to take the guess work out of it by answering all of your questions here. We'll continue to add to this page as new questions pop up.
Melbourne is renowned for having a fantastic public transport system, with train, trams, and buses all readily available. Car hire is also an option. Melbourne's Tullamarine Airport is a 25 minute trip by car or 42 minute train ride into Melbourne's CBD, should you choose to go there before heading out to the Yarra Valley. From Melbourne's CBD, it will take you approximately 45 minutes by car or around 1.5 hours using public transport to get to the Yarra Valley. If you would prefer to head directly to the Yarra Valley from the airport, you can do so by a 80 minute car trip or 2.5 hours via public transport. Victoria's public transport website can be found here. Please note: Public transport in the Yarra Valley is minimal, however with some pre-booking, taxi services are available should you wish to explore.
OUR RECOMMENDATION: Melbourne is a very easy city to navigate, therefore we would strongly suggest hiring a car. This will give you the ability to reach your destinations in a timely manner as well as going off to explore in your own time. Pro tip: Hiring a car with some friends will bring the cost down per person!

The Yarra Valley is very similar to WA's Margaret River wine region, where there is a plethora of wineries and local attractions. If you fancy a bit of exploring, we've made a few recommendations below. If you would like to go somewhere for lunch or breakfast we strongly suggest making a booking. Wine tastings generally don't require a booking unless you would like a private group tasting.
Also the wedding venue, Coombe supplied wine for THE Meghan and Harry's wedding

A lovely restaurant, with beautiful surroundings. If you're looking to splash some cash, your chopper awaits.
These guys were undergoing a huge renovation so we weren't able to visit, but it looks amazing!
Meletos -
Sadly we weren't able to host our pre-wedding drinks here but Meletos is a must! If you're looking for a place to eat, do it!
Restaurant, with a small outdoor area to casually relax
We understand many of you may have young children with you on this trip. Whilst we encourage to bring your beautiful plus ones to as many wedding related events as possible, there may be some events where this may not be possible. Over the coming months we will provide links to some great babysitting options which come highly recommended from our wedding venue hosts.
If you would like to book a taxi service during your time in the Yarra Valley, multiple options are available below. More information can be found here.
Towns closest to our accommodation venues would be Lilydale and Yarra Glen, with Healesville only a stone throw away also. With all towns being rather small, Lilydale and Healesville would be the largest of the three, housing all your must haves.
